3 Things Panicked Seniors Should Do

Updated: Nov 26, 2019

Summer is over and now is the beginning of the downhill of your last year of high school. If you haven't started the college search, follow these easy steps. Here are three things to break it down for the month of August while easing the stress at home.

#1. Make yourself a calendar.

Being able to see your initial plan and be able to show it your family will show that you are taking responsibility. You may have a digital calendar, but it will also help if you have something big on paper that everyone can see.

#2. Register and play with Collegeboard.org.

This will allow you to start searching for colleges based on favored criteria. What's important to you? Large vs. small student body, near or far from home, downtown city or small town, etc.

#3. Register for your college tests if required.

Most colleges require either the SAT or the ACT. Make certain that you schedule them for the Fall semester so you will still have some time to retake them in the Spring. Add the dates to your new calendar!
